100Problems on your cooling system

Yesterday, I explained the important function of the cooling system in your vehicle and what kind of system does your ride has. Most car engines uses water cooled cooling system which is more efficient and effective compared to air cooled. Now, we are to explain or discuss the possible problems you may face regarding the system. And by any chance, we will also provide solution for you to solve the problem by yourself.

Let us now take a crash course about cooling system problems:
Probably, the most problem you can face regarding the system is a damaged radiator hose. Due to its construction, this device wears out more easily compared to other cooling parts. Once you see signs of coolant around the hose, you may need a new one real bad.
Damaged or broken fan belt is also among the culprit of cooling system failure. Once you have notice that the cooling fan does not move or the blades do not rotate, suspect that the belt has broken. If it rotates but it move erratically, the belt is starting to wear out. Another belt that should be considered is the one fitted in the water pump. These two belts play crucial roles in the efficiency of the system and should be checked regularly for cuts and other signs of weaknesses.
Water pump failure comes once in a blue moon. But if it did, your engine is in grave danger as it is exposed to overheating and possible internal damages. Screeching noise and massive vibration are among the known symptoms of a failing pump.
Faulty radiator or radiator cap can also cause the entire cooling system to fail its purpose. The cap is primarily designed to hold or contain the pressure inside the radiator. Once this part starts to fail, a great amount of coolant pressure will leak causing the substance to be stack inside the reservoir.
