012Speed and more speed with NOS

Have you seen the movie The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift? Have you seen the cars used with boosters that allow them to reach the peak in minimum amount of time? The boosters or nitrous are among the performance upgrades that you can employ if you are up for more speed.

NOS or Nitrous Oxide (N2O) is one of the quickest and easiest ways to boost vehicle performance in regard with speed, acceleration and torque. Basically, N2O is a chemical compound known as laughing gas and is non-flammable. It also has a sweet odor and taste which are used in medical science as one of the ingredients in inhaler medicines. So, this chemical is safe to be used and would not harm or get explode once you put it in your vehicle.

However, once these chemicals are released inside the combustion chambers, they became gaseous materials that can explode. They work by releasing more oxygen when heated causing the burn more fuel during combustion process. Thus, this leads for the engine to produce more horsepower and torque that will drive your wheels much faster. Moreover, the conversion of its liquid properties into gas causes a large drop in engine temperature and preventing the risk of overheating.

If you are now considering in using NOS in your vehicle, there should be at least three types of nitrous oxide system that you can apply.

  • Wet Nitrous System which works by supplying both fuel and nitrous oxide in the fogger and sprayed through the throttle body.
  • Direct Port Nitrous System which is similar to the wet system yet each cylinder has its own fogger.
  • Dry Nitrous System executes by increasing fuel pressure to the injectors as long as the system is activated.

One of the major advantages of this project is its relatively cheap compared to other modifications available today. Thus, having a Nitrous Oxide System in your vehicle provides an instant but relatively safe performance boost.
